ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Crystal Plohman Wiegman is a champion fiddler, author, clinician and pedagogue dedicated to bridging the gap between the violin and fiddling worlds, sharing her fiddling expertise at summer institues, string clinics and educator clinics internationally. Originally from Canada, she has spent the last 23 years teaching at Vanderbilt University in Nashville where she serves on the Suzuki Strings faculty and is Coordinator of Folk Instrument studies. www.crystalplohman.com
Cellist Renata Bratt plays and teaches a number of styles including classical, jazz improvisation, rock and fiddling. Her compositions and arrangements for string orchestra are available from Alfred Music. She received her PhD in Music from UC San Diego and is a former president of the Suzuki Music Association of California.
Bob Phillips is a renowned pedagogue, clinician and award-winning composer and arranger. He has authored many books for string orchestra as well as fiddling, jazz, rock and more. He taught orchestra and fiddling in the public schools in Michigan for 28 years and has served as the president of the American String Teachers Association.
